We are driven by the precious moments we preserve for patients

Our goal:
Put patients first

At UroGen®, patients are the motivation and inspiration behind everything we do. We are committed to elevating patient care by fundamentally changing the way urothelial, bladder, and specialty cancers are treated. By transforming treatment, we can help preserve patient possibilities.

After decades of the same standard of care in the urological space, innovation is overdue. UroGen is dedicated to exploring and developing novel solutions that address real patient needs and the current burdens of treatment.

Our challenge: Urothelial and bladder cancers

Low-grade intermediate risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (LG-IR-NMIBC)

Low-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma (LG-UTUC)

For LG-IR-NMIBC, the current standard of care for most patients is a surgical procedure known as transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). For low-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma (LG-UTUC), the standard of care for most patients has historically been nephroureterectomy, which is a surgery that includes removing the kidney.

Because of frequent recurrences, both cancers burden patients with reduced quality of life, higher healthcare costs, and repetitive surgeries and their associated mortality risks. And for a certain part of the patient population, surgery is not an option.

Patients experiencing LG-IR-NMIBC and LG-UTUC deserve better. They deserve more moments and more of what is important to them. We believe providing potential alternatives to invasive surgery is a top priority for patients.

Patient resources: Advocacy organizations

Although we are focused on developing new treatment options for urothelial and bladder cancers, we know patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers need day-to-day support right now. Advocacy organizations can provide access to support groups, downloadable guides, and other helpful resources.

Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN)®

BCAN is the only national advocacy organization devoted to advancing bladder cancer research and supporting those impacted by the disease. BCAN is on the frontlines advocating for greater public awareness and increased funding for research to identify effective treatments.

Urology Care Foundation™

The Urology Care Foundation supports and improves urological care by funding research, developing patient education, and pursuing philanthropic support worldwide. They strive to provide the most current, comprehensive, and reliable urologic health information for patients and the public.

CancerCare®

Founded in 1944, CancerCare is the leading national organization providing free, professional support services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical, and financial challenges of cancer.
